Coral Jane

Mother and Daughter.

I joined Abctales in 2010 and my daughter Julia a year later (2011). Unfortunately due to ill health, despite having been a prolific writer since childhood, she only managed to post a small number of pieces whilst active on the site. Following her unexpected and preventable death in 2016, I posted more of her poems on my own account under her username, which seemed a logical step at the time.

In 2019 her entire body of work was published by Cerasuspoetry.com in a book entitled WAITING FOR ANOTHER VELVET MORNING, which is still available on Amazon (proceeds to charity}. Her original work still remains on her account Overthetop.

I don't write as much now, though the occasional piece pops up once in a while.

Killing the killers

Not for the faint-hearted. Just a way of releasing the anger regarding the preventable death of my daughter resulting from the side effects of a drug now known to be responsible for over 400 deaths a year.

As I'm finding it difficult to write at the moment, I will continue to let my daughter Julia (Overthetop1) live on through her own writing, until I am ready. Coral Jane (seashore).

One-armed combat

Yet another of Julia's posthumous pieces (Overthetop1). Hard-hitting, but that's the way she was.

No you may not be fine, but your description of not being fine, resonates.

Indeed this adopted Geordie can be seen wearing one all year round, despite no longer...

Golden cherries very well

Posted on Thu, 27 Feb 2025

Golden cherries very well deserved. I love lighthouses anyway, they fascinate me.

This piece is beautifully crafted. Needed my thesaurus to interpret some of the words I'd never heard of but I love words anyway,so sometimes the sounds...

Dear brilliant Terry,

Dear brilliant Terry, yesterday you sent me the draft of this for approval.

I messaged you back to say words fail me; it's such a beautifully written piece, full of emotion, there's absolutely nothing I could criticise.

Thank you...

Great writing as always, but I advise all readers to check out the illustrations.
