Life at Sea

Catch the wind in open sail
Harbour its great force
Listen to the song it sings
Nature’s one true voice
Stretching canvas with the wind
Power, thrust, invisible, divine
Moving forward through the sea
Kamikaze saving time
Mariners taking full advantage
Wind seems to power freely
Never take the wind for granted
Least your life be taken quickly
The sea is moved by wind alone
Across the ocean void
Look to the land we call home
Distant life on land annulled
Life at sea on skimming Clipper
No wife on Land or children’s laughs
This is the life I love at sea
I am the windswept Skipper

Hi again Mark,
Yet another well thought out poem here, which I
really enjoyed.
