Security light on
One last winter red rose bud
It’s time to lockup—
.....................
The half fallen leaves
Are reflections from above
Roots flame the boughs love
.....................
High telegraph pole
All is silent and hypnotic
Talking whilst mobile
.....................
The oval lake whispers
Cracks open—a body is found
Here’s a can of worms

Some fab imagery, just not
Some fab imagery, just not sure why the question marks are being used, they don't seem to be necessary,

Oh, hang on - 'roots flame
Oh, hang on - 'roots flame the boughs love'
are you talking to your 'love'?
if so: 'roots flame the boughs, love'
or is it's the love belonging to the boughs, you need a possessive apostrophe depending on singular or plural boughs - bough's or boughs'
