A child’s vision...

Many visions have I had
but, do' let me tell of one!
Its not the worst seen or plaid:
I awoke like the gudgeon...
Under a stream of light!
It beamed a rainbow
a flickering, gaslight
through a sunlit, window.
you ask? And, what did you see?
Yes, and well you might ask...?
I saw twelve men; esprit
from behind their death mask.
Pleading, each their own life’s
but guess what they're all dead:
Each yells like a fishwife
from; guillotine head...
Each spoke in French; begged
as they in turn, one by one
passed... Most deranged,
“voice” never to be rerun!
How odd it was and strange!
They’re pirates I thought?
As each one left; estrange
at seven, overwrought...
I questioned, how, time!
Spun this web of deathly light!
They so mystically, sublime
locked in holy zinc light!
Came to visit this ghostly me...?
Questions ran... The first; was, was one me?
