Lions lie down like corndogs

Lions lie down like corndogs eaten by the dark
As city cats and mongrels howl in the park
A radio hums like a distant hymn for freedom
To begin its soul searching beginnings in Edam.
Under an emancipated Gray starlit day
We all walk the gray pavements like prey
Like corndogs we all go... the same way...
Home’ anyway...
With all your visions, divine, divisions
Shotgun weddings, recoiled,
Heartbroken, revisions, unspoiled,
This defines me!
With you!
Corndogs are we too side by side
In this bed in our own landside,
With the lions in the pride.

Great imagery. I am not sure I fully understand all of its meaning, but it reads well to me, some nice phrases.
