Shining like a bride’s eyes

I’ve wandered blindly like a whisper
Into the dark,
Swallowed up by the promises, the lies
In your heart,
I’ve called out for you: but you’ve
Already, crawled, further and farther, away...
Into the shadows of an hearths darkness,
Down a winding staircase to a cellar;
(Cinder grays the coalbunker of your heart.)
Like a hare you’ve been running,
From the first to the last,
A woodpigeon cooing, circling,
The golden fields, dying tuffs of grass
Flying in concentric circles, over lapping, love.
Under a sickle swan white moon;
Under the morning, cobwebbed, wings of fog:
I’ve seen you; I’ve touched you;
I’ve touched you; even from the furthest shore
With a hem of dew lit stars crowning,
Swollen clusters each a solar watch!
Beneath a bank of moist wet moss,
Again on aching knees, I need to be?
One time eternally, kissed.
I’ve heard your green vernal laugher’s laugh,
Its fiery little embers hiss.
In these corn fields in these dank sedges
I am drowning in my own hearts quantum leap.
O’ I feel my commits head is spinning...
O’ I feel I am, again, lost in all hoping...
And then just as I am still stuck, unbelieving
Behind a wall of fog,
Hiding in the dark, within your open heart
I see the sunrise like a rainbow
Leaping from the ground, and I see, you!
Climbing up a winding staircase
From a cellar deep in the darkened, ground.
Leaping, again, like the sparrows
Like the swifts the pigeons and the swallows
Laughing lost in my own lost and weary, heart.
I’ve heard your whispers. Truly, truthfully,
This morning’s was truly a miracle; girl,
There was you, and only, you!
There was never another starlit morning.
In a universe so worldly, wide
There was never another angel to compare
To you my visionary guide
My angel that takes me
Upstairs to where all heavens angels reside
Shining like a bride’s eyes.
