As summer crawls on unsteady legs
Towards the town of ice and snow
I throw out the scales that I have kept
And choose the path on which I go
With forgotten prayers the child sleeps
To dream of smiling lovers past
I step inside the corridor
Towards my final fate at last
While welshmen sing of cauldren deep
And tales are told by ancient slaves
I walk towards the weeping stone
That threads the path amongst the graves
We take the cup from marble ice
And drench the ground beneath our feet
Tracing webs of silver sands
Where lonely lovers choose to meet
