Y) Time

i) Insanity
Blinding crashes of bright fire
Hold our fears and our desire
With withered hands we take the course
And giant men feel no remorse
To talk with danger and burning trees
While women pray on bleeding knees
Our shattered minds are drowned in fear
The watcher's blind to the innocent tear
I cannot fight, I cannot run,
I scream to see the world undone
And in this breadth of blasted earth
I pray that God will redeem my birth
And lift me from this darkened cell
This shuttered room that makes my hell
To free me from my iron bonds
To bring life back to the poisoned ponds
To turn the wheel of my life once more
And lift my soul from the floor
"Open the door!"
ii) Imprisoned
Locked up.
Imprisoned in my mind
Take out the sword and see what you will find
When the locks break and the door opens wide,
Beware of the wretch that cowers inside.
I will fight,
I will break worlds for my life.
When the screams come and the mind flies,
Hold on to the knife.
I see the bars,
Not iron or steel
But stronger by far than any you could touch or feel
Yet they pass me the key
But it slips through my fingers to symbolise all that is me.
"Will I ever be free?"
iii) Rebellion
Turn!
When the wheel stands before you don't trust your fate.
Turn!
Fight for the freedom, the life that you hold so dear
Why sit and wait while opportunity knocks so near?
They will not change,
They will not grant your wish or pardon your name
You cannot be free
As long as your life is controlled by people who cannot see
When they open the gate and the hordes pour out,
You have lost.
It will be too late.
When the fires burn
They will have won thier madness and left you no room to turn
iv) Destiny
I am alone.
God has chosen this course for me
But I cannot follow
I wait in fear
For the promised power that my hands may hold to bring you here
When the clocks break
And winds whisper in the closed caverns
I bring fire to the darkness and turn the wheel my way
When the words come
And I can free myself from the idle chains
To walk the graves and look on my remains
I will see you again
In a promise that cannot be brocken
When the fire rises to meet the sun
When the seasons change and the year has begun
When the final battle's lost or won
I will still be here.
