Corridors

Where do I begin...
In these silent corridors
The sadness screamed off
The cold and distant walls
Must I feel anger ...
Or allow the sadness in me
To take its course
Or do I look at each face...
In these silent corridors
Each one is filled with so much promise
In their features no hint of a discourse
The tapestry of pictures
Each has a story to tell
Of laughter, mischief, and so much fun
In their haven, no one felt the need to run
How do I seek refuge
In these silent corridors...
Do I cling to a memory
To diminish all the pain
Or will it be in vain
I hope whilst walking
In these silent corridors...
All they'll carry of you
Is your laughter and carefree days
One of us...
Before it was ripped away
I hope that it'll be your smile
That they'll carry with them through each day
And remember you that way...
