Perplexed Mind

Laughter fills the room,
like the sound of music
painting the walls, filling our minds
all persons content.
The door opens, a slow creak,
a heavy weight that echoes an ancient stiles.
The pin drops to the floor spreading rapids
through my heart, a stroke to my happiness.
Eyes gaze across the room, faimiliar faces
dotting ones eye-line.
A stranger? Not at all- far too familiar to
ones mind. A shockwave like slowed motion
as laughter refills all around.
Heartache, pain erupts the body.
Life. It is an odd thing.
Cells that split in order to grow- an embreo,
or illness. Bacteria to poison the mind and soul.
Now i’ve got my flow- split emotion
that was once love, to be adored and now.
More like a cancerous cell, not to be ignored-
living, spreading, paralysing… my mind.
Each mouth open wide, painting the surroundings
with notes, of laughter. In one ear-
out the other, contrast to the atmosphere hidden
inside ones beaten mentality.
A tortured disposition.
