Somewhere out there, now, is a picture of
A faraway place
Remote, black, cold
Alien
Somewhere out there, now, a malevolent vacuum
Swirls, crushing all matter, imbibing each and
Every atom; the cruellest of throats, expressionless
Muting all
Somewhere out there, now, light is annihilated by
Darkness, interred inside a coffin of
Grinning brimstone, a bleak
Sombre exit
Somewhere out there, now, a belligerence of
Nature, pre-primeval, inhales and
Life is sucked away, Worlds are
Sunk like balls in the last
Pool Hall of eternity
Somewhere out there, once, a field,
A swing, laughter…
Gone…
