Chapters. Part One.

For me, something new is when people say, “Sunrise ……. Sunset…….” I think that is SO lovely.

Another thing that I have seen recently is “Chapter,” That too is lovely. Chapter 60 for a 60th birthday, it is a lovely expressive way of seeing Life.

Recently there have been, three young teens killed in a car crash, the eighteen-year-old driver had just past his driving test. It reminded me of what I have said for over forty years, when someone has told me they have pasted their driving test, “I will go in your car, after you have been driving for a year.” My comment was always said in jest, (but I meant it). This morning Meghan was reading some of the info about one of the seventeen-year-old, who was a passenger. His chapter ended at seventeen.

I heard about another youth, attacked on the street in broad daylight, died later in hospital. He knew his attackers. We are not told why? I think of his poor parents and siblings.

Watching my Mum over the weekend, not very strong with her walking stick, bent over, having to remind her to, “Stand tall.” All those chapters!

Another people come to mind, last year, they didn’t know this would be their chapters in 2025.

It is a humbling, sobering thought.
