The city that I grew up in, in the heart of the it, is bank card only, no cash at all is allowed! I think that is SO wrong, for cash is till legal tender. I don’t live there anymore; my brother William told me.
To date, I have never paid for parking with my bank card, but it is getting more difficult to find car parking that still accepts cash.
I don’t like cash points outside of banks or buildings, I only use them inside banks, as I know there are scammers that can attach their things to the cash points.
Years ago, cash back could be got at the tills in superstores, up to £50 and that was fantastic. Then after many years, that was stopped, in my local superstore, and it could only be gotten from Customer Service, but I had to buy something so I would buy a lottery ticket for £1.50. it was nearer than the bank and if the bank was closed, I could still get the cash back.
I went recently to get cash back from my local superstore, only to be told, “We have stopped it now, the only place is our cash point downstairs.” WHY?? They were not losing money, from customers getting cash back from there?
So, this morning, in a hurry, I needed cash, the bank was too far away, the store does not do it anymore, so I had to go to the cash point! I hate them, I didn’t feel safe, SO many people have had money taken from them, either in person, or via an invisible form, from the crooks who devise, their schemes.
Maybe the superstore, is trying to make it more difficult for people to get cash. This store, some tills do not accept cash, but bank card Only. In fact, more of the shop accepts card, than it accepts cash, that is a shame.
