Eight Hundred.

A good friend that I worked with, while she was still at work, for her 80th birthday, her family all got together and bought her a voucher for £800. That is a lot of money, it also showed just how loved she is. She didn't go to the store that year, they planned to go the following year, but that was the year covid started. The following year, she went to London for the day, with two members of her family. Before she went, she said, "I will buy you a bag from the store from my voucher." It was a beautiful bag, with the iconic colours and logo of the store. I used it with pride, knowing it wasn't a fake.
Last year my daughter Meghan also went to London, and while she was there, she also went to that famous store. She bought me back a fabolous bag, with the name and logo for the store. She also bought me a cup with the store name in gold colour. It was SO special to me, I was afraid to use it, so I put it on my shelf, at pride of place, so that where I sat, I was able to look at it. The bag she bought me, I used for work every day.
My friend told me, "It was difficult to spend £800 in one day, but it had to be done, because I wasn't going back," She went on, "Some things were thousands of pounds, the food that we ate there, was very expensive." Finally my friend said, " I have asked my family not to buy me such an expensive gift again."
The store? Harrods.
