FRIENDS.

Had a lovely text this morning from a friend Holly, to say, “We are arranging a surprise birthday party for Masie.” I thought, how lovely, she SO deserves this.
The party will be at a spa, it will be a spa and a meal there.
I have never been to a spa before, nor have I ever had any interest in going to one.
I have seen them on telly, and know many friends and colleagues, who have been to one. They have all been full of praise for them and have come back refreshed, relaxed and happy.
Absolutely nothing about a spa appeals to me, not the massage, on any part of my body, head, face, neck, hands, back or legs! Not the sauna, nor swimming, not hot stones on my back.
I thought I had escaped my whole life without going to one. And now I will be going to one.
It will be a very exciting day, watching Masie getting the surprise. She is such a sweet soul. Lots of photos will be taken, and catching up on those who live far and wide, some only seen at funerals, so this will be a very happy occasion. True friendship, for although we don’t see each other often now, that we live all over the UK, as soon as we are together, it is like we haven’t been apart.
I will look forward to the meal, for me, that is always the best part of any day, at home, at work, and at a Party!
I will need to make an appointment at the hairdressers, to get my hair done.
Happy Birthday, Masie.
