Good Money After Bad.

Trying to earn your daily bread, working hard fingers to the bone. Trying to do the right thing.
I left home, but still stayed near to Mum and Dad. Got myself a small studio flat.
Lots of work needed doing, I found out later Mum went to the offices and reported the repairs on my behalf.
It was cheap my little flat, just £300 a month, I paid, also to make things easy, it was direct debit.
I was there for eight months, well before covid hit. I went back to Mum and dads, best place to be.
Months later, everything stopped! Covid arrived. Then after, saw very long queues, everywhere.
I wanted to open online banking; this is difficult when I work nights. Banking hours was now limited.
I had tried and failed to sort out my online banking, and time quickly sped on and on.
Eventually I got in and it was then I saw that I was still paying £300 a month to Jez my landlord!
The amount was over £2,000 that is a lot of money, but I am asleep for most of the days. So, I told my Mum.
Mum sprang into action, “I’m not called Maxine for nothing,” I’ve often heard her say.
Mum wrote two letters, send registered post, to two of the six jobs, that Jez owns.
Jaz, like he did with me, he didn’t reply. Does he seriously think, my Mum will, go away?
Mum took advice and went to the courts; this involved more money of course.
I paid the courts £115 Mum said, “It is worth it when you get your money back.”
Mum said, “I had a choice, to ask for my money back with OR without interests.”
Mum told me, “I don’t want to be greedy; I just want you to have your money back, no interest added.”
I was SO impressed with Mum, I told her, “Because you have done this for me, I will give you half back.”
That was incentive enough for Mum, not that she needed it, she would have done it for free, for me.
Mum ploughed into to it. Emails, letters, forms, and phone calls, with the help of dad of course.
The courts then got involved, but Jez ignored them too, this did not please the courts at all.
Jez had lost, I had won, Jez had blanked the courts too, this to our gain.
We were overjoyed. I could not have done this without Mum. Mum said, “I’ll do the garden, buy clothes.”
Then nothing happened, the courts told us, “You need to get the Bailiffs involved.”
To do this, it would cost me, £85 Mum said, “It will be worth it, they will get the job done.”
An address was given, as we all waited, Me and Mum and Dad and Meghan.
Then what seemed like a merry-go-round, as Mum was sent from pillar to post.
Mum did not give up, as Bailiffs said, “Jez, his business has now closed down.”
Undeterred, Mum asked the courts, “What next shall I do for my son, he is still over £2,000 down?”
The courts said, “Pay the Bailiffs again, with a different address.” Mum told me, “It will be worth it.”
I paid again and waiting, so long until I had forgotten. Mum had not forgotten though.
From time to time, Mum would remind me, “It is still on going, I will not give up.”
Then after more toing and froing, Mums words not mine, Mum had told me, “I’m afraid to ring the Courts.”
I asked, “Why? Mum said, “Because I’ve heard nothing, and in this instance, silence is not golden.”
Mum rang Monday, for she had to know, but Maria said, “Data protection, I must talk to Daniel only.
Was about to go to work, Mum grabbed me, and said, “I need you to give your permission as proof it’s you.”
My lift was waiting, Mum rang, Mum spoke, I spoke, he said, “January 25th 2023, it is case closed.”
I said, to Mum, “Forget it now,” I saw the sadness in her eyes, I know she is not called Maxine for nothing.
So, what about this tale of woe? I tried, the courts tried, the Bailiffs tried, with no joy.
Did Jez the multi-millionaire, who when he found out, when he knew the Bailiff’s were after him, did what?
He said, “I am worth £1 and so is everything I own.” Sneaky, crafty or what.
I have written this about my son, to try to get his money back, I failed, Daniel failed the courts failed.
The Bailiff’s failed, there is only one winner, and that is the greedy landlord, Jez! He WON!
