Lock.

We have all seen those bike lanes, all of 10 yards long! Council spelling mistakes painted on the road!

The important lock at work had broke. I was off for a few days and when I came back I was thrilled to see that we now had a brand new lock! it was comforting to now know that, when that door was locked I felt safe. Often like before, I would double check that the door was locked.

Soon after we had the new lock fitted, it was pointed out to me, "The key is on your side, but on the other side of the door, the door can be UNLOCKED with the small small turn of the knob." I said, "Even if I leave the key in the door?" I was informed, "Yes." I said, "Well what's the point of having the new handle and lock then?" The reply? "Health and Safety."

I wish they hadn't pointed that out to me, as it would have been nice to think that I was safe and sound, behind that new handle and lock, that came with three keys.
