The Mind of A Car.

It is January, and for me that means one thing. I book off the last two weeks from work, so that I can go and see what is fab in the TKMaxx shops, up to thirty miles from me. It is sale time. With their sales, they have yellow stickers on and each week, another yellow sticker is added on that is less in price, and they keep getting, cheaper and cheaper, until the last day, it is almost free.

I say free, that is unless someone else, doesn’t snap it up first! There are fab items, and each TKMaxxer, is looking for something different, and for different reasons.

Some want to sell them on to eBay, or another place on line. Some want them to sell on at car boots, others want to buy Christmas gifts, cards, wrapping paper, ribbons etc.

Me I love linen, so that I can dye them, it’s winter, best time to buy them, if I am lucky enough to find, something, nice with perfect tags if I am going to sell it on after I have dyed it. But from last year January I don’t buy to sell on anymore, I only buy for myself and husband.

In the past, I have had my eyes on a Fabolous, leather, and canvas briefcase style bag and 100% leather briefcase style bag, both on different years, went down, as I kept my eyes on them, I was able to snap them up for a staggering £10 each, both worth hundreds of pounds combined. I tried to sell them on eBay and car boots but, no one wanted to pay £50 each for them, even though the price of £300 was on the all-leather bag. I decided because of covid, I would use the canvas and leather trim one for my old laptop, instead of ‘saving’ it, I decided to use it instead. It was great.

Then last year when I bought myself a new laptop, I decided to use the all-leather Fabolous briefcase, and I wished I had used them sooner.

It’s getting these gems, for the right price, on the right day, at the right, TKMaxx shop.

Tuesday, I went for a check up at the dentist, at 09.15am, my plan was to then go to the nearby TKMaxx, so I went there first, and loved it, then an hour or two later, I decided to have breakfast, MacDonalds always seem to be nearby a TKMaxx.

I went in and had my usual, a quarter pounder with cheese, hot chocolate and fries.

As I ate, I was enjoying my meal, when suddenly my heart missed a beat, when I thought, how long have I been on the car park? For it’s a £70 fine, I had to pay it once, and I don’t want to pay it again.

Then I remembered, I had come on the bus. I had the mind of a car, and with that, Time was of the essence! I was then able to carry on my meal, in peace and relaxation. I was not controlled by the car park rules and regulations. I could take as long as I wanted to eat, think, enjoy the scenery. It was beautiful. It made a nice change. It enhanced my day. It was a bonus, something as simple as that.
