The Miracle.

Many years ago, I worked with a woman who was wheelchair bound. I would help her onto the loo on my own, no hoist, I would also help her into a special parker bath. She was completly helpless. She was unable to stand, or walk or use crutches. It was hard back breaking work. I did not know what back ache was, until I worked with her.
While I was working with this woman, I saw many years ago, a woman in the town, in her own wheelchair, go up to her car, then looked around sheepishly, got out of her chair, closed it, picked it up and put it in her boot! I could not believe my eyes, for Anna could not do any of that, if her life depended on it. That woman, got a nice car out of it, along with her wheelchair, and no doubt many other perks.
When I work at a different site, I always go to the local Morrisons on the way home. Between the times of 5pm and 6pm I see the same man, he he always there. I call them 'Reduced Regulars.' The man in question, does the same thing every day.
Yesterday when I arrived at Morrisons, I saw a 'Reduced Regular' I had not seen for at least over ten year! He looked excatly the same, he saw me and we both smiled and said, "Hello." He was waiting for the Morrison Staff to bring out the crates of reduced items. I quickly walked around the various parts of the store, where other parts of the store also had reduced items, for the 'Reduced Regulars' can't be everywhere at the same time! The older 'Reduced Regular' was standing with his shopping trolley ready, for those double doors to burst open.
I was near and returning to the 'main event' the double doors burst open and hive of acitvity, very quickly turned into chaos! A man and woman got into a mini scuffle as they grabbed the precious recuded food from each other, they it seemed wanted the same things. The old man, who I had said "Hello" to moments before said, to the squabbling couple, "Stop that, there is no need to do that, don't throw the food around, show some respect." I was a tad alarmed, at first, at the scene, and calmly picked up food and looked at each price, before putting them into my basket. The price for each food item ranged from 5p up to 45p now the 45p items were £4.50! So there are real bargains to be had.
The main attraction is what got my attention, there is a man, who has a huge fast moterised wheelchair. it looks VERY expensive, to get close to all the crates, he gets out of his huge expensive fast motorised wheelchair and grabs as much of the reduced food as he can and he puts it in his basket at the front of his mini disabled vehicle, then he rushes back again into the heart of it all. With a smile on is face, he almost pushes others out of the way, as he bends down and grabs armful of more food and walks back to his wheelchair and plonks the food into the backet. He came back a third time, this time he was just opposite and near to me, he looked me in the eyes and smiled. I had to stop myself saying to him, "It is a miracle how well you can walk just like me and all of us here, the people that gave you that wheelchair, do they know this?" I didn't, for I thought, one fine day, you will be found out that you are a fake and a fraud! He really makes me angry when I see him around the town!
