Steve Davis.

My favourite snooker player is the one and only Steve Davis. When he was in his prime, he was unbeaten and the best! We all watched as a family the snooker when it was on, as we did with all sports. We watched the wrestling, the amazing Wimbledon, boxing, just to mention a few. It was the same with films and documentaries. There was only one telly in the whole house and no such thing as a remote. I remember when I watched a sad film, like Titanic and wanted to cry near the end, but had to conceal it, as it would have been embarrassing.
Years ago, I remember watching Steve Davis, and going to work the next day, and going through the game with a good friend, who loved Steve just as much as I did. When he didn’t win, I didn’t watch him anymore, nor snooker. Steve Davis will always be my favourite, snooker player.
I am at my Mum’s home for a few days, she wanted to watch the snooker. It’s not something I would ever watch now. I put it on and saw a young man age just twenty. His is from China his name is Si Jiahul. WOW! Si is amazing, and when I heard that the finals was today, I decided I was going to watch him in the finals. He would be worth watching. He would be worth, missing Catherine Cookson for. He was as cool as a cucumber, just like Steve Davis.
Yesterday Saturday, I went out, so I didn’t see the match with him and Luca Brecel, it had been carried over from Friday night. Si was in the lead, by far.
I came home from the event, and googled the results, I was gutted that after such a good lead, he lost!
Although he lost, he is only twenty years old. And although he was as cool as a cucumber, the only thing I will remember him for, is for him losing his cool, by punching the snooker table just before they ended play on Friday!
