They Are Not Kidding!

Recently I had to dash into my local Tesco before I went to work, to get some basic shopping for the family. We had ran out of kitchen paper, and the one I usually buy was not there, just a gap where it should be, so a quick glance, I picked up the pack of two called Plenty, I could see no price. I rushed to the self-service and to my horror it came up as a staggering £5.35! I didn’t have time for this, I called over the Staff, who overseas the self-service section and I said, “This has come up as
£5.35 can you remove it please?” She said, “Yes, no problem,” And as she did so, I added, “There is no way I would pay £5.35 for a pack of kitchen paper.”
Upstairs, in the reduced section, I had bought paper napkins, for 30p a pack, I had got both packs, I have found these are good for cleaning up cat sick, or fur balls! It doesn’t matter to me if it has Christmas, Easter or Halloween on, it does the job, if it’s reduced.
As these were quite large and thick, at home, I cut each napkin in half, so that they would go further, for now instead of for the cats, they were for us, until I could find and get cheaper kitchen roll. I let Paul know.
I didn’t have to wait long, for the next day, as I was visiting a Town, I saw a lady with kitchen paper in her plastic bag, I asked her, “Where can I but the cheapest Kitchen rolls?” She replied, “Heron.” I said, “Thank you.” In Heron shop, I saw it, kitchen rolls single packs large, for £1.09 unbelievable! I bought three packs. Each of the single pack, was the same size as the Plenty, in height and size, but whereas the Plenty had two in a pack, the Heron one. So, buying the three single ones, was still cheaper than one of the packs of Plenty!
So, it is good to shop around for, “Every little helps!”
