Why? Part Three.

I heard this a lot when I was young, and throughout my life, then it seemed to come to a natural stop.
For years I had not heard the phrase.
It is a funny old word, a strange thing to say. I love the English language. I wonder if it is said around the world?
I said it too when I was young at school, I sort of knew what it meant when I said it. As I got older though, I did not see the point of saying it. I ‘understood’ why others said it. But it was not for me.
Then out of the blue, I started to hear the phase again a lot. It was on the telly, on all the channels. I even heard it today.
I stopped saying it, because I am not superstitious. When I realized, that people who said it, they are superstitious, it made me think, what difference can say and doing that make?
It makes them feel better, and for them, then that is ok.
So, what is this phase?
Fingers Crossed.
