Full Circle.

The spider in the garden,
Ate the insect in the dust.
Then a blackbird ate the spider ,
Just for fun.
So the cat devoured the blackbird,
Then went off for a pee.
Where a fox devoured the pussycat,
But found him watery.
Just as the fox was leaving,
He was captured by the hounds.
Which made him rather angry,
As this land was out of bounds.
The owner came and shot the beasts,
And buried them below.
The worms were very grateful,
But they didn't tell him so.
They just listened to him praying,
As they ate in their cafe.
"Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust."
Is what they heard him say.
That's where man started long ago,
And where the insects play.
