On a tree, in a wood, by a lane, near the sea,
Is a heart, with an arrow, passing through.
In the heart, on the tree, is the name, of my love.
And with it, is the name, of me.
With the mark, I inscribed, I dishonour all I know.
I have cheated, my good King, and country.
Lancelot, and Guinevere, are the names, you will find.
On a tree, in a wood, by the sea.
