Walking

Let's go walking, you and I,
Through fields of green and gold.
Where all the wonders of the world,
Are not yet one day old.

Let's go walking in the clouds,
And marvel at the sun.
Let's stand in heavens gatweway,
Where all things can be done.

Let's go walking through the lanes,
That lead to all our dreams.
We'll drink from crystal fountains,
Filled by wisdom scented streams.

Let's go walking arm in arm,
Through lands that don't exist.
We'll watch the future passing by,
And know what we have missed.

Let's go walking through the flowers,
That rise from sparkling rain.
We'll see all beauty gathered there,
When we are home again.

Let's go walking through the stars,
And watch the golden dawn.
We'll find the love of mankind,
And see it being born.

It's been a thousand lifetimes,
Since we stood here first of all.
But still the blindfold hasn't been removed.
It's just a game of seek and find,
With all the clues revealed.
But we keep on walking backwards in the dark.
