Childrens Pop Up Books

When I was young I wanted to be an astronaut
or maybe work on a farm
I didn't want a job
where I would come to any harm
I dudn't want to sit at home on Sunday
miserable because tomorrow's Monday
and i didn't want to break my back
unloading things from trucks
and I have avoided all of that
because I write childrens pop up books.
I didn'T want a job making people unhappy
or a job that made me bored
but I never wanted to be world famous
I was never desperate to be adored
and I've managed to avoid boredom
and I like the way life looks
because I spent all my time drawing pictures
for childrens pop up books.
All day i think of adventures
and sit down colouring in
there is a lion called Lenny
and i tiget called Tim
It's so much better than walking around in a suit
complaning how life sucks
and it's called being a writer
of childrens pop up books.
It means I'm happy all day
and sleep well every night
because I've got the luxery
of being able to sit down and write
I dont sit at home on Monday
crying becasue tomorrows Monday
Instead I go to the park and feed the ducks
becasue i earn my money
