"I want to run away" said the young man to the old
man.
"Don't run away" said the old man to the young man. "I ran
away once. I was once like you. You can't run away." said the old
man
"But I have to run away." said the young man to the old man.
"I can't stay here. I feel like running and running." said the young
man.
"You mean like Forrest Gump in that film?" said the old man
to the young man.
"Yeah. I mean like Forrest Gump in that film" said the young
man to the old man. "I want to run away. I want to jump from a bridge"
said the young man to the old man.
"You mean like that boy in the newspaper last week. In Hull?
He jumped off the bridge." said the old man to the young
man.
"Yeah. Like the boy in the newspaper in Hull. I feel like
doing that sometimes. I feel like getting a gun" said the young man to
the old man. "I feel like getting a gun and pulling the trigger and see
if I die." said the young man
"You mean like Russian Roullette?" said the old man to the
young man.
"Yeah, like Russian Roullette" siad the young man. "And
whatever happens, then that is what the gods have chosen for
me."
"Maybe you should just run away" said the old man to the
young man, and watched as he laced up his shoes and ran.
