‘I just assumed he’d turn up’ Jemima, who has never really like Take That
says to her new husband as the guests start to leave.
‘I kept looking behind me, expecting him to arrive, singing A Million Love Songs.
‘I’m not disappointed. I just feel a bit left out.’
At her sister’s wedding Gary Barlow turned up with a camera crew
and the hotel manager has seen him at the last four ceremonies they’ve held here.
‘I know his tax avoidance wasn’t illegal he was just exploiting a loophole,’
says Jemima, and her lawyer husband agrees. ‘Yes it definitely wasn’t illegal,
so he’s clearly not doing it for PR reasons, I think he just loves weddings.’
She smiles at her husband. ‘The night isn’t over yet,’ she says and kisses his nose.
Her brother, drinking champagne by the fountain shrugs, so apologetically.
‘I’m pretty sure he’ll be here before midnight,’ he tells them. He’s always optimistic.
They walk to the marquee, hand in hand, so in love,
So desperate he doesn’t choose their wedding to try out new material.

There's something about Gary
There's something about Gary that I've never fallen in love with. I think it's his waistcoats. I like your poem because it states some facts. I would pay to have Karl Pilkington at my wedding wearing the groom's suit.

Pick of the Day
I love this - wry and witty. It says a lot about modern celebrity. It's our Pick of the Day.
