Some farewells are beautiful
but as she tripped on the escalator
and used a pensioner
to regain her balance
I realised this would be a moment
to forget.
I helped her carry her suitcase,
she hadn't even been able to lift it
off the ground.
I was jealous at the thought of some other man
offering to help when she landed at Heathrow.
I put it on the conveyer belt
she thanked me and as she squeezed my hand
the conveyer belt started
and the suitcase disappeared
out of sight.

Its good, but the syllable

Its good, but the syllable count for the lines are off, so the flow of the poem is a little harsh.
