Dare To Dream

(For my Husband)
Moons flew by, long ago,
Cocooned in a curse.
Howls mournfully
Cried out:
Smothered by a mask with
Resounding echoes of
Rushing water, like
Falling pain.
Raindrops dropped -
(Drip, drip, drip)
Dripping on the window pane.
It felt sweetly surreal while
Surrounded by the cocoon.
The echoes
Weaved - lustfully and serenely, as
Hearts were woven and
Crafted to take a bold shape.
An angel's surgeon
Tightened the stitch
Delicately and divinely, as
Heaven called.
Stars dazzled
Despite the cloud in a nightly haze.
The echoes and howls pealed
In harmony,
Resounding in the midnight sky.
Where,
A boy and
A girl -
It would become an effervescent vision to behold.
God's soldiers marched
To the beat of drumming clouds.
It was a thunderous and rainy summer's night, and
A tale was woven to signal the end of an era
In the masked cocoon.
Beat, beat, beat and
Bounce, bounce, bounce in
Tune to the Lover's hearts.
The mask was broken where
Wings, rainbow bright,
Turned into a butterfly in flight, and
Brought forth joy in a
Daring new life.
