All That Heaven Enfolds
By Paul McCann
Been up , been down , been kicked around .
Reviewed , renewed . Retired , rewired ,
Inspired . Enforced Depressed Divorced .
Resigned , relapsed . Seen time fly past
After all this , I can’t dismiss ,
As I crawled out and looked about
and from beyond all the rubble,
and the trouble , I was still happy being me .
Moved out , moved on . Rehoused , reborn .
Sworn in , worn out .
Eyes shut , wised up . Times come , I’m done .
I’ve really shook how much it took ,
to find the switch that turns all this
darkness to light and the insight ,
that comes from bits of life’s fragments
stitched up in time from firmaments
into garments of gold that shine .
All that heaven enfolds is mine .

This poem is a perfect
This poem is a perfect example of life's learning experienced. It spoke to me in so many ways of my own life, how my journey got me happily to where I am today.
Thank you for sharing.

Love this
Great little turns of phrase that convey something really positive.
And I reckon there's a good country music song in these words.

The last line is truly
The last line is truly beautiful, and the thought of sewing firmaments. "I was still happy being me" is a wonderful thing to be. A great message, and I like the tumult leading to your bright peace at the end
