In The Blood
By Paul McCann
Whenever we’re born and we start to breathe . You and I are the humankind and we need oxygen in the blood to survive and as long as I can remember no one taught me how to breathe it came naturally to me . I am alive in this world and I am happy to be here just as long as I remember how to breathe
When everything’s too much and I wish it would stop that’s when I know , just to make time and breathe and remind myself I am who I am and I can survive , as long as I remember how to breathe . I am happy to be and every day all over the world billions of people do the same thing . We breathe in the same air ; it’s in the blood and we survive.
Whenever a man and woman have children, the blood becomes one and in their family or tribe , life goes on and in the offspring the blood running through our veins is the lifeline we own .
Every time we breathe, we never stop and to consider the breath of life we have been given . We just expect it to be there . Even if it is polluted by toxic fumes we continue to live .
Survival is in the blood even though some of our habits and addictions are inherited , life goes on as normal unless something should take our breath away and it can happen in a second , whenever we would least expect it .
Being aware of life and death can make us feel fragile as well and we need to handle our feelings and emotions with care , we need to take care and beware of the dangers around us .
We are not taught about self-preservation , in our fragility we learn to beware of the dangerous challengers that come our way .
Exercise is always a great way to keep healthy . Walking in the park AND breathing in fresh clean air is one way to keep the blood clean and circulating in and out of our hearts . If we get sick or have an infection , healing is in the blood . Within our bodies we have immune systems that are constantly protecting us and fighting against viruses and sickness that go through our system . We heal naturally , it’s in the blood and when we are feeling ok again we can resume our lifestyles with that spark to a flame that keeps us happy and well so we can appreciate the beauty of life like a smile and a the fragrance of roses in our noses and the warmth the sun on our face and the smiles on everyone we meet .
We are basically friendly by nature , no one taught us , it’s in our blood , we say hello or how do you do , its nice to see you or to talk to you, isn’t it a beautiful day ,yes and everything’s ok , it s easy to see what we have found. With love in our heart , we can takes hold of our emotions and share those feelings with others , We can easily stay in control of our mind, body and soul and make plans for a better future . We set goals and we try to achieve success in small and bigger ways . It’s in our blood to become better at the things we do . Evolving and solving problems along the way .
Even when the hard times come along, with disasters or when conflict or war occurs we have always been able to survive through what had happened . Its in our blood to survive and carry on regardless . Decent people who are honest have always set an example by those who turn to crime as a means of survival . Peaceful and kind people have always made a difference in times when war or threats of violence have gripped those in the minority who have tried to control the world . There have always been generous people who have tried to help the poor and hungry .
On an international stage many doctors and nurses have given their skills and time free of charge to assist in famine and crisis working together for the greater good .
No one can teach us how to do that , its in the blood . We care about life and people on all sides of society and because of that the human race has always managed to survive words wars and natural disasters that could have wiped us off the planet
At the end of the day, we’re all human , we all breathe in the same air , we all have the same blood in our veins , we are members of the human race in all the sectors of society , We are the working class , middle class and the corporate class and when there is suffering , as long as we can continue to care for one another, life is a wonderful thing .
There is no escape from the finality of life and at death although we become the invisible men and women in the world , we leave legacies for others to follow who we hope will continue to do the things we have done , caring and sharing with the warmth of kindness running through their veins .
The End

the breath of life indeed,
the breath of life indeed, but what we breath does take years from our life if we live in polluted cities.

Hi Paul - I've noticed a couple of images with your name and someone else's name. Could you please confirm, if these pieces were jointly written, that you have the permission of the other person to publish them on ABCTales? Hope you don't mind, but we do need to check. Thank you!

Thank you very much Paul. It was the other person's name on the picture that I was querying, but if the writing on ABCTales is solely your own work then that's fine.
