Filipino Talk

They talk so eloquently to me .
They walk so elegantly with me ,
I close my eyes and I fantasize
What to say and then I realise
I want to be a Filipino .
Tell you why ,
because I love them so ,
It’s the way the Pilipino’s talk
It’s the way the Pilipino’s walk
Its so cool and its so beautiful ,
It’s the way they have a golden rule
To welcome everyone they meet
To listen well and also to speak .
A Filipino smile shines so bright
It really is such a gorgeous sight
as it overspills where silence falls
between us there ,
breaking down the walls
where peace is found and that’s when I know
I want to be a Filipino .
