It’s A Hard Road That Takes Us Far

When grief first came a knocking upon my door .

It hurt like I’d never been hurt before .

I was angry and mad and frightened and sad

But then I learnt to take the good with the bad.

Then one day I looked at grief and walked away ,

Because there was nothing left for us to say .

Love brought a new meaning and more than a word.

It was positively asking to be heard .

Life is ok no matter how bad things are

Without love would never have got this far.
