When Mandy was only born the world seemed a very big place .
Everything was big except for all her friends in fairyland .
When people stared into her little face and muttered strange sounding
words like Goo Gou and Gag Ga , Mandy's fairy friends
would put their little hands over their ears and make silly faces which
made Mandy burst out in fits of laughter . Even though
Mandy couldn't understand a word that was said to her she
knew one day people would make an attempt to talk properly .
Her first real experience of the outside world was a wonderful place at
the bottom of the garden , where fairies could change the colour of
flowers . Mandy loved to sit and watch the tiny bugs who danced to the
music and songs of the fairy folk who buzzed around over her head
.
Many promised herself when she was 4 or as soon as her Mum and Dad
could understand her , she would tell them all about her friends in
fairyland .
When Mandy turned 5 she gave up the idea of educating her parents on
Fairyland and went to school learn how to read and write . As soon as
Mandy found some new friends at school it
wasn't long before she forgot all about the fairies who had
become
such a big part of her early life .
When Mandy went to University she had already forgot the names of some
of her first childhood friends , and it was when she entered the work
force that she found her best friend .
Mandy was engaged to be married and after a short time she
was married to her best friend Sean .
After a year a little baby was born .
Mandy and Sean were delighted with their little daughter Tara .
Sean spent lots of time making goo gaga sounds to Tara who
seemed to turn away and giggle .
One day Mandy remembered some fairytales and often sat in the garden
telling her daughter stories of a wonderful place where no one but
children could see and understand .
