The New Season

.

The start of the football season’s here .
and its about time , don’t you agree .
Why the season has to disappear,
Like a little squirrel in a tree
I don’t know why but that’s how it is .
Without football thing’s are a bit bleak
Like there’s no buzz , no fizz, and no biz .
Its just so sad . no one wants to speak.
But its back at last , we’re football mad .
Its another season by golly,
The best season that I’ve ever had.
There is a reason to be jolly.
A season of headers and hat tricks
with back flicks and a great turn of speed .
square balls and overhead scissor kicks ,
and strong wills will make our teams succeed.
There’s a lot of ball control as well .
One two balls to thread through and to kill
Throw ins and feints and dummies to sell
Its takes technique and a lot of skill .
And you’ve always got to make some space .
Then call for the ball and use your voice .
Give them a fast set of heels to chase .
Pick your spot its up to you , your choice .
Then rattle it home into the net .
Its up to you and me don’t forget .
So if you’re ready , then lets get set .
Season tickets we’ve all got to get .
