The Presence Of Angels

There were times in my life when I have experienced the presence of angels , They leave signs such as feathers on the ground , they would make themselves known in mysterious ways like people you have never met calling you by name or an unexplainable incident that would occur protecting you from harm .  

I would like to share a few stories about the presence of angels in the lives of some people I have known .

In Sydney ,.Australia , a young lady was walking through the tunnel from Broadway to Central Station . It was late in the evening and not too many people were in the tunnel . A busker sat there playing a guitar , he had a begging bowl in front of him . She stopped to put a coin in and continued her journey  . Behind her was another young lady who also put a coin into the buskers bowl as she passed and following her was a rough looking man who never donated anything and kept walking .

Next day the busker saw an article in the newspaper , there was a photo of a girl who had been raped and murdered and he immediately recognized her as the second girl who had walked past him the night before . The police were asking for any information from the public if they had seen the girl or knew anything about where she had been . So the busker made a report to the Police and in his report he mentioned about the man who was following the girl . He was able to give the police a very good description of what the man looked like and after looking through a book of photos , the man was known to police who very quicky made an arrest . After questioning the suspect and making some forensic tests , the man pleaded guilty to the crime . Something puzzled the police , the busker mention that there was another girl who was walking in front of the girl he killed and she was apparently much prettier than the girl he killed so they asked him, why he never chose her and he stated that because she had two men on each side of her . However that girl was on her own so it was assumed she had been protected by angels .

Another story I was told was from a work colleague who told me about the night she was driving home with her young daughter beside her in the front seat . It was late in at night and there wasn’t a lot of traffic around . As she turned into a narrow street a huge semi-trailer coming the other way moved over to her side of the road and she had nowhere else to turn . On the other side of the street was ahigh brick wall and she thought that her car would be crushed between the on coming truck and the wall but just before the collision she felt something some between her car and the truck  and she explained to me it was as if the hand of an angel had pushed the truck away from her car preventing them from being killed . The car was badly damaged but not a mark on them was found .

In 1989 to 1990 when I  was living in London I did a study on Angelology with the Bible Way Church in Three Colts Lane in Bethnal Green .

The knowledge I discovered about angels was enlightening .

Angels are beings who look human , but are not flesh and blood as we are , If you were to stick a knife into an angel there would be no sign of blood .

Angers have super human strength and super human intelligence .

Angels have been known as messengers and appear  frequently in stories in the  bible which shows how important they are in key events of our history ,

From the Garden of Eden (Gen. 19:1-15.)  to the John in his Revelation at the end of the book angels have been mentioned (Revelation 1:1)

They have appeared in dreams (Genesis 28:12, and Matthew 1:20 ) as well as in real life to people ( Luke 1:19 )

Quite often the first words from an angel are do not fear or do not be afraid , which is a greeting meant to bring a calm to them appearing from nowhere .

We as humans in this life are not ranked with angels but in the next life we shall be ranked higher than angels.- People who are  raised to life in heaven receive the gift of immortal life from God. (1 Corinthians 15:53, 54) They will have a status higher than the angels.​—(1 Corinthians 6:3).

‘There are ranks of power and authority with angels , the most powerful being Michael the archangel (Jude 9; Revelation 12:7)

 Some people have mentioned to me about angel money that came out of nowhere and I myself had experience such a thing  . I was on holiday and someone took everything from my hotel room when I was out shopping . All my bags had been taken from my room with my passport and money , my ID ,  bankbooks and all I had was the clothes I stood up in . Until I was able to get in touch with the embassy and get my papers back I was living rough on the street . Homeless and hungry often .

One night I saw a bank note on the pavement about 50 yards ahead on me . There was a strong wind blowing that night and I expected the note to be blown away by the time I reached there . I also thought someone else would also see the note and pick it up but no one did and that note seemed to be stuck to the ground . When I got to the spot where the note was I calmly picked it up and went and bought myself some food . A few other times during my homelessness , I had found other angel money .I went to a church one day to pray and something told me to put my hand to the back of a statue and when I did I found a ten pound note . Another time I was in a waiting room and had an urge to move a chest of drawers away from the wall and when I did I found another note there .  

Some other people mentioned to me about their experience with angel money . A friend of mine Kirrily mentioned once that when she was walking her dogs in the park she noticed something rushing past her , whirling in the middle of the dust and leaves and somehow managed to grab hold of it, she said

"I was surprised and very pleased to see it was a $10 note"

Then a few days later, she was in her back yard planting some rose bushes when she spotted something lying in the grass. She was astonished to find it was a $20 note. Then not long afterward, in another part of the garden, she found a $5 note and yet another $20 note in the herb garden . She told all her family and friends about the 'angel money and like mu own experience the possibility of the notes being blowing away was very high but it was just like the money was meant as a gift .

Many people might say its not angel money at all, but just some money had been  blown away but for myself I’m still convinced that an angel had his foot on that note on the pavement until I got there .

I once had a good friend who was a catholic priest , Tony Reynolds by name and when I was in the Blue Mountains I would stay with him in the Presbytery at Lawson for Sunday mass . On the Monday morning I was heading back to my home in Pendle Hill in Sydney and he asked if I could pout him up for a few days as he had some people to see there .  So we left in his car , he was driving . It had been raining and d the road was wet , as we went around a bend a car coming in the opposite direction was going too fast and went into a skid , the car was heading directly towards us and all of a sudden it was as if an unseen force pushed the car to the other side of the road where it came to a stop . Tony and I both went over to see if the driver was ok , apart from being drunk he never had a scratch and we all felt very lucky to still be in one piece . Later on we were heading down the mountain to Emy Plains and Father Tony asked me , have you any food in the cupboards at home and due to the fact I had been away for a little while and hadn’t done any shopping I said  I said to him , “ there’s not much at all at home but God will provide and as soon as those words came out of my  mouth , two fresh loaves of bread fell out the back of a bread van coming towards us  . Father Tony screamed out “Bread from Heaven” and pulled the car up . Not one car on the road hit that bread and I picked it up intact and that morning we enjoyed the best toasted sandwiches you would ever hope to taste in your life .

My brother in law had an accident after falling asleep on a bust freeway , his car crashed head on into a signpost that stooped his car instantly . It was an old car without self inflatable bags and yet when he regained consciousness there wasn’t a mark on body . Everyone who saw the car was amazed he wasn’t killed . On both sides of the signposts he crashed into was a long drop onto another freeway . If his car had gone either side of the signpost he would not be alive to tell the tale of what happened .

The presence of angels is always around . In things we cannot explain , they can only be one explanation .

The last story I want to leave you with is the time I was kidnapped by a group of terrorists in Belfast  . They handcuffed me and took me to a room above a abandoned post office and questioned me for hours , They never knew who I was and suspected me of being someone undercover in their district . A gun was produced and suddenly the gut with the handgun put a pillow over my heads an pulled the trigger but there was no shot fired . All of the terrorists in the room were shocked at what had happened and said to me , that I was the luckiest man in Belfast that day . The person in command there said to me .

‘We can’t condemn you to die twice so you’re free to go “

I will always believe in the presence of angels in my life .
