A Tribute To Glass
By Paul McCann
There’s glasses on my eyes ,
There’s glasses in my hand ,
There’s glasses on the shelves
in pubs in every land ,
Wine glasses , shot glasses ,
and brandy glasses too .
Opaque and transparent ,
cracked glass and shattered too.
There's frosted glass,
dirty glass and clean glass as well .
Recycled glass and broken glass
that slipped and fell
Coloured glass , opaque glass ,
Some glass can magnify ,
Sunglasses ,crystal balls ,
Monicals for the eye
Telescopes and periscopes
Can help people see
Things far beyond the earth
and things above the sea ,
Glass is everywhere .
Some glass is old and new ,
Although glass can be fragile
it’s bulletproof too .
