We Need Someone To Care

Runaways on the highways ,

talking about broken homes and broken hearts out there .

Well the hurt goes deep under the skin there

but they’re not giving in until they find someone to care ..

 

 We all need someone to care ,

 it can be cold and lonely out there,

when you’re a long way from home,   

you’ve got to find your way alone .

We all need someone to care

to show we’re not on our own

on the cold streets we need someone to care  .

 

Little children on the rocks yeah ,

watching people fall down in defeat

 and they get beaten up and kicked around ,

oh  it’s a hard life you know with no where to go

except for the cold streets of some distant town

 

We all need someone to care ,

it can be cold and lonely out there ,

when you’re a long way from home,  

 you’ve got to find your way alone

We all need someone to care

 to show we’re not on our own on the cold streets,

 we need someone to care  

 

Little children stuck in a hole ,

 oh what a hell of a hole when there’s no one there at all  

and they’re getting out of their heads on something

 to help them sink or swim and they’re trying to walk

but all they can do is  crawl .

 

We all need someone to care ,

it can be cold and lonely out there ,

when you’re a long way from home,  

 you’ve got to find your way alone
