At The Years End

At The Years End

Looking back at all 

the  things that happened 

in the world this year 

I’m so happy to see

we have become 

more aware today 

At the years end my 

feelings go out to 

those people who never change

and they  do everything 

the same way everyday .

At the years end 

 who would have thought  there would be

so many refugees trying to find a home

where they are welcome to stay .

Peace is what I wish for everyone 

in the world with answers to questions

and love to be with us 

and peace to find a way .

At the year’s end  I will take time out

to reflect upon  life and retain 

 all  of the better moments 

 before new year’s day 

The past we can’t change ,

but the future remains to be seen 

and that’s why  I’ll always count my blessings

every step of the way .
