MURMERS AND WHISPERS

Murmurs of seeds, whispers of trees,
Long trails that lead nowhere
To find gray-streaked stones
Tumbled beneath a waterfall
Where eddied pools circle down
Around with currents still unseen
Flowing to an ocean I do not know,
Against shores of foreign lands,
With darkened forests, cliffs untamed,
Paths unwalked, lives unlived,
And all tomorrows where dreams dwell
Become yesterday’s dreams.
