The Relativity of Time

We travel with each other through time,

Touching, embracing, loving, laughing,

 Arguing, disagreeing, agreeing, compromising,

 Coming together, parting, joining once again.

 In journeys marked by time

 You move faster, I slow down

 Until we meet and passing, kiss.

 Time joins us measuring separation

  In the fractured seconds of our lives,

  Orbiting one another, moon to sun,

  Sun to moon, not apart but bound

  By the unseen gravity of our love.
