WHAT SHALL WE SAY? (One of my few poems written with a rhyming scheme)

What shall we say about a friend
When all that’s said is read
In smiles and eyes that lend
To us a view found tightly wed
In wiser words and honest thought
And having found them we are taught?
How often we have turned our key
For doors to rooms where shades
Still linger, and unable to see,
Bright light enters, darkness fades.
For this, our friend, brings on the light
Dispelling all the clouds of night.
