The tyranny of good intentions
Today I must declare;
That War is prosperous piece is boring
And life just isn’t fair
Greetings and salutations
Scratched on cruise missiles
Murder then a happy meal
Our service comes with a smile
Have a nice day
Help me lord, help me oh lord
Tell me why do birds
Fly upside down
And a chair rocks of its own accord?
Have I gone insane?
Am I insane?
So mount the missiles
And take grid reference
Men, women or children
Do you ever have a preference?
Help me lord, help me oh lord
Tell me why do birds
Fly upside down
And a chair rocks of its own accord?
Have I gone insane?
Am I insane?
There are cries in the tubes
There is loneliness in the tubes
Fingers, lies and speculations
Retorts, rhetoric and declarations
Of peace and war and then more war
Taking centre stage
Address the nation and condemn
Bullets on a conveyor belt
It’s either us or them
It’s either us or them
Oh, and what is it now?
What is it this time?
There is crying over cartoons
there is actual crying over cartoons
I think I’ve gone . . . sane
