WARNING

I'm writing these words with growing concern
It seems there's a lesson we still have to learn
That the land and the sea have all had enough
It doesn't want anymore of our poisonous stuff
Rivers and streams and even the sky
Will I'm quite sure clog up and die
I've never known anything who'd put up with so much
Watching us daily destroy with our touch
Trees that give life are systematically torn down
To make way for more grazing or expanding a town
The seas are so toxic they cause unimaginable harm
With chemicals from industry and pesticides from farms
That our children will inherit a great barren rock
Unless we this day turn back the clock
And look at a world in serious trouble
That needs everyone's help right now at the double
It'll take a lot of hard work but we can stop the rot
Let's save Mother Earth she's all that we've got
