it was just you and me

for ever and ever

for ever, and never.

for how long have you, i ask

 sat with your tea bags

wrapped in yellow sachets,

does tea ever go bad? well.

you're still sat in a throne 

carved in bone and ebony,

wearing golden sleeve cuffs

and, a violet velvet suit

i looked at the calendar today,

i thought;

i've got a giant ashtray 

that i need to throw out.
