Lily-livered Lover

I wanted 

lion hearts so i shaped one in clay

and placed it between your lungs.

And i thought of you,

a long time after- until-

i run out of things to say.

 

Lily livered and pale blooded,

althought your veins were bursting

the heart i made you never worked

as if it were already drained.
