I cry

Every time I shower, I cry,
The sobs muffled only by the boom, boom, boom,
of the music I play in the background,
my tears washed away by the water.
I cry for my knee, buckling under my own weight,
I cry for the loneliness I feel in my heart,
The water hits my head and I just cry,
No one but me knows why.
When I push that white button with the winking blue light, I am free.
Free from judgement, free from shame,
Just my tears and the water raining down on my scars.
I open pandoras box and let my emotions out.
When I’m finished with my body cleanse,
Both inside and out,
I push the illusive button once more
and pray the tears, like the water, stops.
