Life is a boardgame,
full of snakes and ladders.
We come from the shake
of a dice, a turn of a card
Our journey starts
around the board. From birth
Milestones conquered,
We advance.
Age creeps up,
the finish line near.
Aided by those you created,
relinquishing power.
You move that
one space further.
A venomous creature
swallows you whole.
You climb up a ladder
to the finish line
in the heavens,
to that beacon of light.

An interesting concept.
An interesting concept. Always subtle harming creeping snakes around to watch out for!
So much can seem to happen just like the whim of the dice, but there is a Hand on history, and we can pray, 'Deliver us from evil'. It can seem not so much progress as perseverance in faith, but with joy! Rhiannon
