the thank you note

To Auntie Marge,

Thank you for having me last weekend. I got out of the hospital yesterday. It’s nice to be home in my own bed. I’m sorry for knocking down that candle and trying to put the flames out with your wine. Who knew wine was flammable. I hope you photo albums had duplicates. I’m sorry about the antique rug and hope the burns on the cat’s tail heal quickly. Anyway, see you soon.
